Is Sign Sail HIPAA compliant?
We give you HIPAA-friendly consent capture and encrypted storage, but we don't sign Business Associate Agreements, and we'd rather tell you that plainly than imply otherwise. Many wellness, spa, and therapy practices operate comfortably inside that boundary; if you route protected health information, run it past your own compliance review first.
Can patients complete intake before they arrive?
Yes, that's the main point. Text or email the form link when the appointment is booked and the patient fills and signs from their own phone at home. Their details, history, and signature arrive in one submission before they reach the door.
What evidence backs an informed-consent signature?
The exact consent text the patient saw is frozen into the record at signing time, alongside their IP, a UTC timestamp, an explicit consent step, and a SHA-256 hash. If a consent is ever questioned, you can show precisely what was agreed to and prove the record hasn't changed since.
