· What you'll send

A photographer's worst paperwork moment is on set: the model is ready, the light is right, and someone remembers the release. Sign Sail makes the contract part of booking and the release a QR code in your camera bag, so the legal half of the shoot is finished before the creative half begins.

Booking contracts

Date, deliverables, payment schedule, and cancellation terms signed when the client books, with a deposit line so expectations are on the record.

Model & talent releases

Likeness consent with the permitted uses spelled out, signed on set from the model's own phone, one submission per person on multi-model shoots.

Print & usage agreements

License scope, exclusivity, and credit requirements for commercial work, signed before files are delivered rather than negotiated after.

Second-shooter & vendor agreements

Rates, image rights, and delivery expectations for second shooters and assistants, reusable as a template across the season.

· Questions

Asked before you ask.

How do I get a release signed on set?

Keep the release form's QR code in your bag (or on your phone's lock screen): the model scans it, fills their details, and signs in under two minutes. Each signature stores IP, timestamp, consent, and the exact release text, so the usage rights are provable years later.

Can the booking contract collect the brief too?

Yes, that's the recommended pattern: one form takes the shoot date, location, shot list, and contact details, then ends with the contract terms and signature. You get structured data for planning plus a signed agreement, in a single submission.

What about second shooters and assistants?

Save a second-shooter agreement as a template covering rate, image rights, and delivery deadlines, and send it per gig. Templates are on Pro ($12/mo billed annually), which also covers 1,000 submissions a month, more than a season of shoots.

Legal-grade on every plan.

Every signature carries the signer's IP, a UTC timestamp, the user-agent, a SHA-256 hash, and a frozen copy of the form, baked into a signed PDF. Included at every tier, not sold back to you as an upgrade.

Make the paperwork the easy part of the shoot.

Start free with two forms: the booking contract and the model release. Add the QR code to your kit and never chase a signature on set again.
